The attorneys of Kessler & Collins are committed to, and regularly provide, employment counseling to clients. As a result, we and our clients can deal with issues involving employment disputes early in the process thereby avoiding litigation and claims through government and administrative agencies.
We have extensive experience in defending clients before agencies such as the Texas Workforce Commission, the Texas Commission on Human Rights and the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). We have also successfully defended employers in all levels of court, including federal appeals. Our firm has been approved by various insurance carriers to defend insured employers under Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) policies.
We are regularly involved with all aspects of employment contracts, non-compete agreements and confidentiality and trade secret agreements, including drafting, negotiating, modifying and enforcing. In addition, our firm counsels its clients in the establishment of employee compensation and incentive plans including both qualified and non-qualified stock option plans and restricted stock as well as deferred compensation plans.
