Overview

Having cut his teeth in real estate development and construction prior to attending law school, including site locating and appearing before governmental bodies, Scott specializes in commercial real estate development, acquisitions, leasing, and dispositions.

Scott worked in-house as general counsel for real estate development and construction firm for 15 years, so he knows development inside and out. He also has represented contractors and design professionals in contracting and litigation matters. Scott offers his clients the perspective of a developer, landlord, tenant, and investor, and knows the importance of getting a deal done.

A quick and responsive attorney, Scott helps buyers and sellers with matters that are quick to close and have tight deadlines, whether it’s negotiating a contract, analyzing title and due diligence documents, or drafting related agreements. He also works with developers with larger projects to get them to the finish line, and tenants and landlords of all sizes.

Scott has lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area almost all his life, where he married his high school sweetheart. Together, they are raising four children, two of which are attending college in Texas, which gives him some time to occasionally go to pub trivia.
