Overview
Lexton’s practice centers on corporate and business transactions, commercial real estate, and healthcare law. He works with clients on mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and corporate governance, commercial leasing, and contract drafting and negotiation. On the healthcare side, he helps providers work through regulatory requirements and the transactional issues that come with operating in a heavily regulated industry. He also assists with trademark matters, including clearance and filing strategy.
Lexton believes that how a lawyer serves a client matters as much as the legal work itself, and that responsiveness, clear communication, and a genuine understanding of the client’s business are what set good representation apart. He approaches each matter by first learning what the client actually wants to accomplish, then working backward to a practical solution that serves that goal. A meticulous drafter, he enjoys working alongside clients and colleagues to get complex deals across the finish line.
Lexton started at Kessler Collins as a summer associate in 2025 and stayed on through his final year of law school, working on live client matters across the firm’s practice groups. After graduating, he joined the firm full-time, continuing to work with many of the same clients and attorneys he supported as a law student.
Lexton is a “triple Aggie,” holding a B.S. in Communication, an M.S. in Business, and a J.D. with honors from Texas A&M University. During law school, he served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law, which published his note analyzing the Bankruptcy Code’s anti-modification provision. He also externed in the in-house legal departments of Jacobs and the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, gaining firsthand insight into how corporate legal teams operate and what they need from outside counsel.
Outside of work, Lexton enjoys singing and performed the national anthem at his law school commencement. He also plays guitar, snowboards, and loves cross-country road trips.
