Overview

Samhita Kumar focuses her practice on business transactions and commercial litigation. She advises businesses and individuals on a broad range of legal and business matters, helping clients evaluate risks, develop practical strategies, and make informed decisions in complex situations.

Samhita takes a client-centered approach to every matter, working closely with clients to understand their unique goals and priorities. She recognizes that legal challenges often involve broader business considerations and strives to develop thoughtful, detail-oriented solutions that address both immediate concerns and long-term objectives.

Samhita earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where she built meaningful experience in legal writing, advocacy, and client counseling through both academic and hands-on opportunities. She served as an Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy and competed on the University of Houston Law Center Alternative Dispute Resolution Team.

While in law school, Samhita also served as a student attorney in the University of Houston Law Center’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, representing small businesses and non-profit organizations. In that role, she worked closely with entrepreneurs and emerging non-profit organizations to address business formation, governance, and strategic legal issues, helping clients establish strong foundations for future growth.

Outside of her legal practice, Samhita is a professional vocalist who sings in more than eight languages. She enjoys teaching Indian classical music and watching the Dallas Cowboys with her goldendoodle, Jeevan.
