Michael Schluterman specializes in litigation matters, namely commercial, employment, intellectual property, and arts and entertainment disputes. As a member of the firm’s litigation group, Michael analyzes complex legal problems to provide strategic solutions for his clients.Following graduation from the University of Oklahoma, Michael clerked at a small estate planning firm and later attended law school at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. While in law school, Michael took an early interest in advocacy culminating in his service as Chair of SMU’s Board of Advocates in his 3L year, overseeing all off-campus mock, moot, and alternative dispute resolution teams. At the end of his 3L year, as a result of his on and off-campus competition performance, Michael was named the Fred C. Moss Outstanding Graduating Advocate for the Class of 2023. Along the way, he gained key litigation and corporate experience working with SMU’s Deason Center for Criminal Justice Reform, interning with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office, and externing with LSG Sky Chefs through SMU’s Corporate Counsel Externship Program.
